How Intrinsiq Develops New Features: Part 3 – Rolling Out New Features
In the previous part of this series, we looked at how new features are built, tested internally, and validated by selected clients. Once that testing phase is complete and the feature has been approved with no outstanding issues, Intrinsiq shifts the focus to rollout.
Introducing new functionality is about more than simply making it available. It is about ensuring schools have the information, training, and flexibility they need to adopt it with confidence.
Preparing Clients for the Update
Before a new feature is released, clients are informed that the functionality is coming. This early communication gives schools time to understand what is changing and plan accordingly.
Alongside the announcement, we provide training videos and user guides that can be shared with the relevant members of staff. These resources explain the purpose of the feature, how it works, and any changes to existing workflows, helping users feel prepared before the feature becomes available.
Giving Schools Time to Familiarise Themselves
Clients are also notified of the planned release date in advance. Rather than introducing changes without warning, this approach allows schools to become familiar with the new functionality at a pace that suits them.
Within Intrinsiq, new functionality is made available through the Beta Features section. Here, clients can choose to enable or disable new features before they become part of the standard system. This allows schools to explore the functionality, test it within their own environment, and build confidence before fully adopting it.
This is particularly valuable when a new feature is replacing an existing one, as it gives users the opportunity to compare workflows, ask questions, and adjust without the pressure of an immediate system-wide change.
A Smooth Transition
By combining advance communication, practical training materials, and optional early access through Beta Features, Intrinsiq helps ensure that new functionality is introduced in a controlled and supportive way.
This measured rollout process allows schools to adopt new features on their own terms while giving our team the opportunity to answer questions and provide guidance throughout the transition.
In the final part of this series, we'll explore how client feedback after launch helps shape future improvements and continues the cycle of innovation at Intrinsiq.
