Mark Milford Reflects on ALTO Madrid
ALTO Madrid provided a fantastic opportunity for Intrinsiq Ltd to engage with industry leaders, exchange ideas, and explore some of the biggest conversations shaping modern organisations today.
Representing Intrinsiq, Mark Milford took part in several discussions centred around leadership, trust, operational structure, and flexibility within growing businesses. One of the standout debates focused on the balance between trust-based cultures and the systems needed to maintain accountability and consistency at scale.
During the session, Mark discussed how Intrinsiq operates within a highly trust-driven environment, while also relying on strong systems and processes to verify performance and maintain operational quality, a philosophy comparable to ISO standards. The discussion reinforced an important conclusion shared across the panel: trust and operational controls are not opposing concepts. Strong company culture begins with trust, but without effective systems and reliable data, flexibility can quickly lead to inefficiencies and human error.
Another highlight of the event was the opportunity to hear from leading speakers, including Dr Helena Boschi, whose session on the Neuroscience of Connection explored how neuroscience influences the way we connect with colleagues, clients, and students.
Beyond the conference sessions, ALTO Madrid also created opportunities for networking in a more relaxed setting. The event kicked off with a cycle tour around Madrid, offering attendees a chance to connect and experience the city together before the main conference began.
Reflecting on the event, Mark described ALTO Madrid as an engaging and insightful experience that brought together industry professionals to openly discuss the challenges and opportunities facing modern organisations today.
Intrinsiq would like to thank ALTO Where Leaders Meet for the invitation and for hosting such a well-organised and collaborative event.
