Intrinsiq Tips & Tricks – Highlighting Surveys
In this edition of Intrinsiq Tips & Tricks, Mark Milford highlights one of the most valuable tools for understanding and improving the student experience: Student Surveys. For schools looking to gather structured feedback, monitor satisfaction, and quickly address concerns, this feature provides an efficient and organised solution.
Why Schools Rely on Student Surveys
Schools consistently value the insight and visibility this feature delivers:
1. Simple Survey Creation
Create fully customised surveys quickly and easily, tailored to your school’s specific feedback requirements.
2. Flexible Question Types
Choose from multiple question formats, including text boxes, date fields, combo boxes, and more, allowing schools to collect detailed and structured responses.
3. Department-Based Reporting
Assign questions to reporting categories so feedback can be segmented by department, making it easier to analyse results and identify trends.
4. Automated Negative Feedback Alerts
Negative responses are automatically highlighted within the dashboard, ensuring schools can respond promptly to issues and maintain high student satisfaction.
5. Improved Student Engagement
Surveys can be delivered directly via email or pushed to the student portal, encouraging higher response rates and giving students a clear voice within the school experience.
Setting up and distributing surveys in Intrinsiq is a straightforward process:
Start by navigating to Admin > Surveys and selecting Add to create a new survey. Enter the survey name, such as End of Course Survey, and add an “On Submit Message” that students will see after submitting their responses. Once saved, move to the Questions tab to begin building your survey.
From there, select the appropriate question type from the dropdown menu, add your question label, define possible answer values, and identify which responses should be considered positive or negative.
Once responses begin coming in, head to Academics > Survey Results to analyse the data. Apply filters such as nationality, centre, or date range, select the relevant survey, and run the report. Results are displayed by department, allowing teams to drill down into detailed feedback for each question category.
