Intrinsiq Support: Easy Classroom Allocation and Forecasting
In any Academic Department in any kind of school, be it big or small, classroom allocation and forecasting are two things that practically take place on a daily basis, especially at the start and the end of each week. Students moving around, teachers changing classes, teachers’ time off, classroom renovations….these are only a few situations in which having an efficient classroom planning school management system can come in very handy. This is exactly the Intrinsiq feature that we shall be focusing on today.
It’s just like playing a game!
What used to be a headache for many Academic Managers in schools, is now considered to be something fun, mainly because it can easily be done at the click of a button. Once the Academic Managers enter teacher availability, classroom availability, student levels, ages, requirements...and any other feature they might need, the Academic Manager then simply has to drag and drop names into the available classrooms.
The list will be marked as “Partially Allocated” at first
The Academic Manager will always have full control of the system and if, for example, a student has booked 20hrs/week but the class he has been assigned to is for students who have booked 15hrs/week, the student will still show in the partially allocated list. This means that the Academic Manager or Course Coordinator will know that there is something wrong in that list which needs to be fixed.
Fix and Confirm!
Once all the issues are fixed, and all the students are correctly placed into the right classroom, that class is confirmed. Having said that, you will still be able to change things around from one week to the next as bookings continue to come in.
